I am the current HOA Board Secretary and have served for the past two years. One of my previous campaign priorities was to design and distribute a highlight of the board meetings for homeowners who were unable to attend. From this, the Community Updates newsletter was born. Every month, after the meeting, I create the newsletter and include important updates and any relevant information to keep everyone in the loop and help bring about more unity to our community. The TownSq forum reopening was also an important accomplishment for me, as I felt that it was crucial to transparency and honest communication. In addition, over the past two years, I actively participated in the reconstruction project, job walks, contract negotiations, landscape walks, and even picking up trash to keep our property clean. I am dedicated to keeping The Ridge a happy, safe, and clean community for all of it's residents.
I am the Communications Specialist for the South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) in the Public Affairs and Government Relations department. As a part of Public Affairs, I provide support for advancing the mission of the District and its colleges (Saddleback and Irvine Valley College) through internal and external communications, government relations, community relations, media relations, legislative advocacy, and institutional marketing. My department supports the Board of Trustees, Chancellor, and executive management staff and coordinates with the colleges’ marketing and communications offices.
Prior to SOCCCD, I worked at a risk management and insurance broker where, daily, we dealt with clients needs, including homeowners associations. I am a licensed agent in the State of CA, and as such, assisted in managing insurance plans for large employer groups, investigated billing, and researched contracts. I gained a variety of knowledge and many useful contacts.
I plan to use my skills, contacts, and experiences to bring open communication to our community.
I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, and an emphasis in Advertising.
I have called The Ridge home for eight years and have loved every minute. I have a husband, an infant son, and a dog, the latter, being the reason I began attending HOA meetings--to debate about the need for pet stations. It was then that I realized the importance of being involved in our association.
We enjoy living here and you might see my family and me taking walks through the neighborhood after dinner. Feel free to ask me questions or let me know anything on your mind. With your help (and vote), I hope to facilitate open communication, a better sense of community, and make a difference in all of our lives.
If you haven't yet, check out my priorities.
